This option is for visitors who want to visit the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial independently, using a free named entry pass from the official Museum reservation system.

OFFBEAT provides round-trip transport from Krakow, pickup timing, practical support and a short historical introduction during the drive to Oswiecim. We can also provide concise English guide notes for the independent route.

Inside the Memorial, this is an independent visit. Our preparation happens before entry. OFFBEAT does not provide a Museum guide-educator inside the Memorial unless a separate official guided visit is booked through the Museum system.

How free entry passes work

  • Free entry passes are booked only through https://visit.auschwitz.org/rezerwacja/termin.html?idg=1; they are not sold or reserved by OFFBEAT.
  • In the official calendar, look for an individual visit without a Museum educator, shown as a free or 0 PLN entry pass when available.
  • Free entry passes are named and each visitor should bring a matching photo ID.
  • According to current Museum information, free entry passes can be reserved from 90 to 7 days before the planned visit, while places last.
  • From May to September, the Museum states that visitors with free entry passes enter from 5:00 p.m.
